In view of the problems existing in the luggage industry in China at the present stage, the following development countermeasures are mainly put forward:



1) Accelerating structural adjustment and industrial upgrading


On the one hand, we should guide the coordinated development of leather production regions in the eastern coast, the central and western regions and the northeast of China, promote the orderly and gradient industrial transfer, and reasonably plan the regional layout.


Second, accelerate technological transformation and innovation, adjust and optimize the structure of enterprises. Encourage enterprises to accelerate technology introduction and technological transformation to develop into large-scale and cost-effective enterprises. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other relevant ministries and commissions set up special funds to support technical transformation projects.


The third aspect is to guide enterprises to adjust product structure with the orientation of market final consumption. Continue to increase the proportion of high-end products, strengthen the brand awareness of the industry, adjust the structure of export products, change the case and bag industry to low-end and OEM products export oriented situation, and constantly expand the proportion of independent brands.




2. Establish an independent innovation mechanism in the industry


Relying on technological progress, we will continuously improve the product quality and design varieties of leather hardware and raw materials, and further improve the design level of bags and suitcases. Pay attention to the product quality standards and quality standard system of the industry and enterprises, and promote the standard work to be in line with international standards; We will guide enterprises to raise their awareness of intellectual property protection and increase the core competitiveness and added value of their products.




3. Enhance the brand awareness of enterprises and enhance the brand influence of luggage and bags products in China


On the one hand, the leather logo as a platform for the implementation of brand strategy. The leather mark is a certified trademark registered by China Leather Association in the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in 1994. Over the past 20 years, it has become an important platform and carrier for the industry to cultivate its own brands, and has been widely recognized by the government, society and the industry. At present, the leather industry has more than 500 brands through the leather logo certification, the formation of China's leather industry excellent independent brand groups, including 27 leather enterprises, Guangzhou has 5 brands: Wanlima, apple, red valley, tianbao and sengdan mei. On the other hand, continue to carry out the relevant brand evaluation activities.




4. Create regional brand of bags and suitcases through regional construction of leather features

5. Promote market diversification through business model innovation
